Casanova swore by it, Catherine II made use of its aphrodisiac power and, according to legend, Don Juan had a little bit of everything served to him. Natural aphrodisiacs and stimulants have been used since time immemorial to increase the libido. Even if scientific evidence is lacking, it is worth trying for more pleasure.

#1 Ginger

The spicy ginger stimulates blood circulation and thus also promotes potency. What has already been proven in animal experiments also works in humans in terms of love and lust.

#2 Ginseng

The generally strengthening power root ginseng not only helps with tiredness, colds or concentration problems, it also boosts your love life.

#3 Celery

Celery has been known as an aphrodisiac for thousands of years. Its essential oils stimulate the circulation and metabolism, have an anti-inflammatory effect and are also diuretic. Its seeds are said to be particularly potency-enhancing, but so are salads made from the tuber or celery soup.

#4 Eggs

Caviar omelettes and tea with vodka were served for breakfast by Tsarina Catherine II. Along with the protein kick, this also brought the necessary stamina.

#5 Oysters

Through its appearance alone, the mussel acts as a symbol of femininity and fertility. But its ingredients - especially zinc - also stimulate the love life of both sexes. Even in ancient times, there were supposed to have been veritable oyster orgies.

#6 Clove, Cinnamon, Rosemary, Chilli

Everything that is hot also makes you hot: Stimulating spices definitely belong on the table as an aphrodisiac. Cloves, cinnamon, rosemary or chilli are considered particularly stimulating.

#7 Horseradish

The pungent substances in horseradish literally make us hot and act like garlic. What brings tears to our eyes are glucosinolates, which among other things have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Recipe for your own love liqueur:

  • - 10 grams ground cinnamon
  • - 20 gram lemon zest
  • - 15 grams dried thyme
  • - 5 grams ground coriander
  • - 5 gram mace
  • - 5 gram vanilla pod
  • - 1 litre brandy
  • - 1 kilo raw cane sugar

Preparation:

Put all the ingredients except the sugar in a bottle and place it in the sun for a fortnight. Stir it from time to time during this time. After the two weeks, strain the herbs and add the sugar with half a litre of water to the pot with the collected liquid. Let it boil until it has a syrupy consistency. Now you can add the brandy and stir vigorously. Pour the liqueur into a clean bottle. It can be stored in a dark and cool place for about a year.

Drink a glass of liqueur about half an hour before lovemaking to boost your circulation and get you in the mood for foreplay.
