There are people who are afraid of spiders, small spaces or great heights. Everyone knows. It becomes more unusual with octophobics who have an excessive fear of 8-shaped objects or enophobics who are afraid of wine. You could perhaps say, hmm, maybe there aren't that many 8-shaped objects (or is there?) and if you don't like wine, you can drink water. But did you know that there are also people with phallophobia?
Phallophobia: The fear of erections
Phallophobics have a pathological fear of erections. Those affected are divided into two groups: some are terrified of getting an erection, the other is terrified of seeing or even thinking about their own erect penis.
Phallophobia should not be confused with Medorthophobia!
Medorthophobics do not have a problem with their own erection, but rather have a pathologically exaggerated fear of other people's male genitals.
A small consolation: cherophobics have a pathological fear of happiness. THAT sounds really bleak...
